Cellucor Sampling

December 3rd, 2011

I will be sampling Cellucor's new C4 pre-workout flavor, Icy Blue Razz at Powerhouse North Canton on Monday December 12. Come stop up between 5-7pm and try it before your workout! I am incredibly picky, and I actually LOVE taking it. It tastes amazing, which is half the battle for people who hate to plug their nose and chug disgusting pre-workout. It contains creatine and a small amount of caffeine along with arginine to give you the energy, pump, and power you need to fuel through your workout!

Part 2 of 2

Derek came in fourth place out of seven. He is not just another trusty client, whose money I take and spit out the best knowledge I have acquired...he is the love of my life, and I am pretty sure that he is a part of me as I am of him. He is my other half, and when he smiles I smile, when he hurts I hurt, and I'm fairly sure I wanted this 1st place for him more than he did.

I've been around the industry for a while now-5 years, seriously since 2007. I've seen and heard the politics, I've seen and heard the bull, all over some phenomenal physiques...of which Derek has and brought to Kentucky. I wish, for the life of me, that the NPC can set standards for these unstandardized divisions such as physique and figure. A buddy of mine from home, Matt Russell, took the Men's Master's and Light-Heavyweight trophies without a doubt in anyone's mind-he looked like a road map with a guesstimate of 1000 veins.

You can't go wrong with bodybuilding standards-big, hard, vascular, striated, lean. The new classes that have been added to bring in more revenue for the NPC don't have these standards, so we will see what happens at a National level in 2012 now that Derek is qualified.

Derek is in the bright blue with-black-and-green-check shorts-usually in the middle of the shots.
The photos below allow for you to see and vote for yourselves- the men with the lightest yellow/light black check pattern and green shorts placed 1st and 3rd respectively, the man to our left (Derek's direct right) in the dark gray and pink shorts placed 2nd, the man farthest left (not in some of the photos) in blue shorts placed 6th, the man farthest right on 3rd's left side (also not in many photos) in the blue shorts placed 7th, and the man directly to Derek's left in the thick blue diagonal checks placed 5th.

We made it! We arrived at around 6:30pm last evening. Derek, my boyfriend, is competing in his first contest-NPC men's physique. Made a pit stop to Easton to pick up one of my handbags that needed repairing, grabbed some homemade cookies from a local shoppe, and drove straight through to Louisville. This weekend happens to be the same weekend of the prestigious International Breeder's Cup horse race, which skyrocketed out hotel price to $350...for one night. We checked in, met up with some friends, and I analyzed how he looked. Spot on! I was very pleased and decided to have him fat and carb load. Post 9pm I had him eating pizza, burgers, fries, and cookies every two hours until 5am. He has been completely dehydrated since Thursday night, also. I noticed that Men's Physique prejudging is the last event Saturday morning at around 3pm. Unfortunately, this means more work for him and me. I want to keep him looking full but not spill over (which should be tough since he is so dehydrated) so I have him cutting back on his fats but continuing his carbs until around noon, where he will then have some chips and pre-stage fast sugars to get his vascularity going a bit and really getting his muscles to pop. I just finished his first coat of pro-tan; blow-drying it and waiting for it to set then on to two more before his athlete's meeting.

Until I know more, I have nothing else to say about his physique. I am very pleased with his turn out; I feel like a proud mom and even though he is my boyfriend of quite a while he is still one of my clients. Objectively speaking, he has EXACTLY what the judges want: symmetry, muscularity within reason, lean but not overly vascular, grainy, or striated-a completely aesthetically pleasing physique which is the total beach body look.
